Avoiding Spam EmailA common technique used by spammers is to harvest e-mail addresses from websites using spam bots. If you have a website that contains your email address, you can encode your email address into its equivalent decimal entity, through the use of "Character Entities." The encoded email address might look like this: mailto:yournam... The encoded email address can be read and translated back into its original form (e.g. info@myclinic.com) by almost any web browser. It will appear like a standard email address to the viewer, however, the spam bots can't recognize and harvest it. Here's what to do:
